Tbade at Wairoa, which a few weeks ago had shown signs of improvement, has agairf become very dull—one of the natural resulis arising from the removal of the Imperial troops from that district. * Eating House.—We are pleased to notice that an establishment of the above description has sprung into existence du-ing the past week, in Shakespeare-road, under the auspices of Mr James Kendle. As a place where a good substantial meal, at moderate cnarges, could be obtained, has long since been wanted in Napier, we heartily wish Mr Kendle every success in ms spirited undertaking.
Panama Mail.— Gapt. Loverock, of the schooner ‘ Blue Bell,’ informs us that there was no sign of the long over-due, and row anxiomrty expected, Panama Mail at Wellington up to Saturday, 13th inst.,— a telegram having been received* in' Canterbury to that effect.
