Death oe the Hon. Major Coote, M.L.C.—We regret to learn of the death of,the Hon. Major Coote, at Wellington, on the 25th ult. The Evening Post, of the 29jh March, gave ,the following account of the funeral:—The funeral of the late-Major Coote, which took place yesterday atternoon, was attended by a large circle of sorrowing, friends; amongst whom were- his Excellency the Governor, Judge;. Johnston,. the t members of the Ministry, his;Honor the Superintendent, the lion. J. O; -Crawford, und several other gentlemens,--connected- with the Government. .
