Pastor Greenway, the .young Welsh visitor to Hastings, continues his ministry this week in the Rialto tearooms, in Heretaunga street. During the last two weeks the interest in these revival services has been maintained, and the numbers of Christians attendings have steadily increased. Coming, as he does, from “The Land of Revivals” it is not surprising that Pastor Greenway presents the truth with fervour and that both “light” and “heat” accompany his expositions. Beside having a personal and practical application, the subjects chosen tend to explain to the hearers the special aspects of Bible truth held by the Apostolic Church. With the first principles of the Gospel of Christ, this movement also believes that, since the Holy .Spirit is to be the administrator of the affairs of Christ throughout this dispensation, the gifts of the Holy Spirit as well as the gifts of the Ascended Christ should be in operation to-day, and to a large extent they experience them in their midst. The various doctrines taught by this movement include Justification and Sanctification of the Believer through the finished work of Christ, the only Redeemer and Mediator; baptism by immersion; baptism of the Holy Ghost; gifts of the Holy Ghost for Edincation; gifts of the Ascended Christ for Government Mid the Second Coming of Christ as tho believer’s hope and the solution to the problems of to-day, in a world-wide sense. The predominant feature in all Apostolic Church teaching is implicit faith in the absolute deity of the Lord Jesus. Every Christian should attend those services and share the blessings.
