TO COME TO HASTINGS

H.B. Rabbit Board Office TRANSFER THIS MONTH It is announced that the Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board ofliee is to be transferred to Hastings this month, and the alteration will be made in readiness for the board's next meeting. The board’s present office is situated in the Market Reserve Building, Napier, and the new office will bo in Central Buildings, at the corner of Market street and Heretaunga street, Hastings. The chairman, Mr T. E. Crosse, explains that for many years the members of the hoard have been dissatisfied with having to go into Napier, for all of them live on the south side of Hastings and actually have had to pass by it to go another twelve miles farther into Napier. It was principally because the office was near the Government Deeds office, of which the board formerly made considerable use, that It remained in Napier, but the board’s dependence in that respect has been removed by the purchase of its own set of maps. An added reason for the change is that the day of the board meetings is also Stortford Lodge sale day, and members attending meetings of the board can now go Cm to the sale without unnecessary loss of time.
