CAMPING COACHES
England’s Latest Idea RAILWAY NOVELTY This year, from Eaeter onwards, the London and North Eastern Railway have 65 camping coaches available for the holiday-maker, says the Orient Line news service. Each accommodates six people and is fully equipped with crockery, linen and cooking requirements. A novelty will be the touring camping coach, which is to start from York each Saturday afternoon and visit a different place every day for a week. The Southern Railway’s latest contribution to the needs of the camper takes the form of twelve “bungalows on wheels,“ each of which is provided with a wireless aerial and equipment so comprehensively designed as to include even an alarum clock. Sites have been selected in the most beautiful part* of Devon, Cornwall and the New Forest.
