Napier’s Outer Area FOURTEEN AREAS LEASED Since the last public auctions of sections on the 475-acre block at Napier was held on January 30, fourteen sections have been taken on lease at varying terms, which would indicate that already the public has foreseen the development which may take place in that area. Thirteen of these sections are on the western side of Kennedy road extension. All have a depth of 165 feet. Those who have acquired these sections, and the annual rentals, are shown in the list published below: — KENNEDY ROAD EXTENSION Section 25, 75ft. —Mrs C. E. Shearer, £9. Section 26, 60ft.— Mrs V. N. Watters, £7 4/-. Section 27, 60ft.— R. F. Pilcher, £7 4/--Sections 28, 29, 30 and 31, each of 50ft.— B. E. Barlett, £6 each. Section 32, 50ft.— Mrs M. E. Bott, £6. Section 35, 50ft.—R. A. Lewis, £6. Section 36, 50ft.—W. M. Angus, £6. Section 40, 60ft. —C. Hawkins, £7 4/-. Sections 41 (60ft) and 42 (75ft). — Messrs C. A. Morse and Atherford, £7 and £9 respectively. TARADALE ROAD There is only one section which has been disposed of in the block fronting Taradale road, namely, Section 9,75 ft. —J. D. McLeod, £6.
