GIFT EVENING

Ormondville Party On Tuesday evening a number of friends of Miss Myrtle Powell, daughter of Mr and Mrs Hubert Powell, of Ormondville, met at the home of Mr and Mrs Olf Nikolaison, the occasion being a surprise kitchen gift evening to Miss Powell, who is shortly to be married to Mr Harry Price, of Wellington. The guest of the evening was the recipient of many useful gifts, testifying to her popularity. Mr Harold Smith, being a personal friend of the intended bridegroom, ably supported the bride-elect by assisting with the opening of the various parcels, and also thanked Mr and Mrs Nikolaison and friends on behalf of Miss Powell for their gifts. A very pleasant evening terminated with the singing of a chorus specially requested by Mr Nikolaison.
