The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 7th instant (last week’s quotations in parentheses): —Butter: 97s (925); market is firm. Cheese: White, 49s to 50s (47s to 48s); coloured, 51s to 52s (50s to 51s). Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Napier, report having received the following cable from the London brokers, Messrs. Samuel Page and Son, dated September 6: —Dairy produce.—Butter: Market firm. Quotations: Danish 108/to 110/- per cwt.; N.Z. finest, 96/- to 98/- per cwt.; Australian finest (unsalted), 96/- to 98/- per cwt.; Australian finest (salted), 95/- to 97/- per cwt.; Australian G.A.Q., 92/- to 94/per cwt. Cheese: Market firm. Quotations: N.Z. white, 49/- to 50/- per cwt.; N.Z. coloured, 51/- to 52/- per cwt.; Canadian white, 50/- to 51/- per cwt; Canadian coloured, 51/- to 54/per cwt.; Canadian c.if., 51/- to 52/per cwt.
