A QUIET MARKET

HASTINGS STORE CATTLE VALUES SHOW LITTLE CHANGE A small yarding of 100 store cattle met a quiet market at Stortford. Lodge yesterday, values showing but little change from last week’s rates. The quality of the entry was average, a few 4-year bullocks being amongst the best entries. Some of the entries and prices paid, were as follows. A series of pens of weaners to 18 months’ steers, mixed as to size and condition, sold out at prices ranging from £1 10/- to £2 11/-. Fairly grown, an entry of yearling heifers met the market at prices ranging from £2 1/- to £2 5/-. A pen of 4-yr. P.A. bullocks, fairly framed and carrying useful store order, realised £5.
