ABOUT AERIALS
No wireles enginer thinks of using anything but high conductivity wire for aerials. The lead to the earth should be short,, made of aerial wire, and with a low-resistance connexion to the earthing system. If you are using a water-pipe earth try to make connexion with the rising main. When an earth clip is used in conjunction with a water-pipe all paint, etc., must be scraped off the pipe where the joint is to be made.
