RE ASTHMA.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—l wonder if people realise that asthma, prevalent at this time of the year, familiarly known as hay asthma or rose cold, is due, to a great extent, to the overpowering smell from the flower of the privet hedge. This form of asthma is very common in Hastings afflicting both the young and the old. '.nd it behoves parents to guard in every possible way their children from contracting the complaint Il those people who have the privet liellfe will prevent the same from flowwing by trimming at the proper season of the year they w'll, I am sura, bo doing a real service to the unfortunate asthma sufferer.- I am. etc. SUFFERER Hastings, Dec. 9, 1927.
