Mails which left Wellington on the Bth November via San Francisco arrived in London on 7th December. SMOKING IN TRAMCABS. From time to time there have been complaints from lady passengers about Hnoking in tramcars, but the other day wo observed a nose tilted with keen pleasure as some blue smoke was wafted by on the breeze. The phenomenon was so unusual that on inquiries being set afoot it was discovered that the gentleman outside was enjoying a cool, satisfying smoke of Bears ’ Smoking Tobacco Mild, and incidentally its fragrance was giving pleasure to his follow passengers.
