The subjects are as follows: —Short Christmas Story (not fairy story); must be original and have a New Zealand setting. Not more than 400 words. Two prises, one for boys, one for girls, 7/6 each. Open to boys and girls from eleven to fourteen rears. Special Christmas Essay: “What 1 should do if I were Santa Claus.” Not more than 200 words; for boys and girls from six to ten years. Two prizes, one for boys and one for girls of 6/- each Competitions close on Friday, 16th December.
