IN 10 DAYS LONDON-NEW YORK, 35 HOURS. LINERS AS LANDING-PLACES FOB AEROPLANES. New York, Nov. 5. An aerial pony express between New York and London on a 35-hour schedule, calling for eight landings on ships at sea, is planned by an American shipping corporation, it is announced by Lawrence R. Wilder, one of the backers of the plan. Eight ships of the Blue Ribbon Steamship Line, he said, would serve a§ mid-ocean landing places ior « fleet of passenger planes operated by the same line. The United States shipping board has been asked to aid in the financing of the undertaking with a loan of eighty per cent, of the construction cost of the steamships. Several aviation experts. Mr. Wilder said, have endorsed the service, declaring that it is entirely feasible and would serve until the development of planes able to cross the Atlantic without stopping. If th© Atlantic service proves successful, he said, a similar service across the Pacific and a ten-day round-the-world service may, be undertaken. It was not announced when operations would start. The shipping hoard he announced, has granted a hearing on November 21 with regard to financing the building of the Blue Ribbon vessels
