The Nanking forces, having consolidated their position in the Nan-king-Wuhan area, are commencing a drive against the North. Official Nationalist reports state that 200,000 Nationalist troops are participating from the Yangtsze Valley, aiming at co-operation with Feng-Puh-siang and flanking through the Shansi province. A Nationalist powder magazine on the outskirts of Shanghai mysteriously exploded. It is officially attributed to Northern spies. There were 20 castualties.—(A. and N.Z.)
