BOWLING.

NEW ZEALANDERS IN SYDNEY. FIRST MATCH LOST. (Received 8, 11.20 a.m.) Sydney. Dec. 8. The New Zealand bowlers were welcomed at the Marrickville Club. Responding, Mr. Stone said they did not expect to win any of the test matches, but were satisfied to pioneer regular tests between Australia and New Zealand. It is expected that the tests will be continued annually. The visitors played a-practice match against the New South Wales team which toured the Dominion early this year, New South Wales winning by 141 to 76. During the afternoon a thief stole £l4 from the clothing of the New Zealanders. The following will represent Kia Toa in the shield games on Saturday next against Waipawa:—Away: Parkhill, Ballard, Sykes, F. Burge (s.) Home: Aitchison, Bcnnison, White. O. Burge (s.)
