YACHTING
CORNWALL CUP CHALLENGES. NINE RECEIVED ALREADY. Auckland, Dec. 6. The Auckland Yacht and Motorboat Association to-night decided to challenge for the Sanders Memorial Cup contest, to be held nt Stewart Island next February. The following nine challenges were received for the Cornwall Cup contest, to be held at Auckland commencing January 14th- Manakau, Whangarei, Wellington, Napier. Otago, Canterbury. Lyttelton, Tauranga and Auckland.
BARRY v. GOODSELL stakes put up. London, Dec. 5. Barry’s committee haa cabled the first £-100 of stake money the deposit required by Goodsell, and also adopted a resolution protesting against the brevity of the time GdousoH allowed for the deposit of the money.— (A. and
