OLSEN TO DEFEND HIS TITLE. Dunedin, Dec. 6. Advice has now been received that C. M. Olsen, holder of the New Zealand half-mile championship will represent Otago at the New Zealand athletic championships and defend his title. He is also competing in the 440 yards. L. C. McLachlan has also been selected for the 440 and half-mile. Otago's team now numbers 14 men. TENNIS VICTORIAN MEN’S DOUBLES. Melbourne, Dec. (j. In the Victorian tennis championships, in the men’s doubles, Patterson and Hawkes beat Mdnncs and Schlesinger, 6—4, 7—5, 7—5.
