GETTING READY FOB PADDJ’S MARKET. A meeting, presided over by Mr. H. K. Thomson, was held in the Public Hall on Monday night, to consider ways and means of running the Paddy’s Market on Wednesday, January 18th. Messrs. G. F. Roach, T. A. Smith, and R. McCarthy were appointed an advertising committee, lhe various stall-holders were allotted with power to add to their number. It was decided to hold a dance in the evening, the arrangements being left in tlie hands of Mr. Sellars. After some discussion it was derided to have a baby show and Mrs. Anson-Horton and Mrs. Neilson are I to be asked to be the judges. An invitatioiy is to be given to Sir ; George Hunter, M.P., and Lady Hunter to open the Paddy’s Market. It was resolved to have the next meeting to report progress on Tuesday, December 18.
