MOTOR LUBRICATION

BULK EQUIPMENT FOR OILS. It' seams difficult to believe that some twenty-five years ago the motor car was practically unknown. To keep pace with the phenomenal development of motor transport has meant unflagging effort and enterprise on the part of those who have had to cater for the new requirements—especially as regards fueling and lubricants. In this direction much pioneering work has been carried out by the Shell organisation. Progressive methods, with the keynote of Service dominating all its activities, have brought the organisation to what it is to-day—a great concern, whose ramifications extend to every part of Australia and New Zealand. With an expenditure running into several millions sterling and a direct employment list embracing 3500 the Company stands as one of the greatest working factors in Australian and New Zealand industrial life.

Barely three years ago a new era in this’country’s motoring history was established by the Shell system of bulk storage and distribution of motor spirit, Now another notable step is being taken by the introduction of the renowned Shell Motor Oils known and standardised the world over as “Single,” “Double,” “Triple” and “Golden” Shell respectively. Years of exhaustive research and tests have been expended on the preparation of these oils, which now come to New Zealand stamped with the approval of motorists in every country in the world. The new Shell Oils will be sold in bulk from special equipment which is sealed by a Shell official each time the containers are filled. Every drop sold is therefore guaranteed true to name and grade. With the onward march of engineering science, correct lubrication has become a matter of vital importance, and the new Shell Motor Oils should be heartily welcomed by our motoring community.
