SURF CLUB MEMBERS SAVE YOUTHS. RESCUERS BADLY BRUISED. (Received 5. 8.55 a.m.) London, Dec. 4. Thousands of surfers whom an exceptionally hot day had drawn to (Jlovely beach, witnessed an heroic struggle by 30 members of the local surf club to save the lives of three youths, who were washed out. Two were saved, and one, Thomas AVoolride, was drowned. The spot is very rocky and the rescuers were badly knocked about and bruised in their efforts. Several were taken to hospital.
