A “KITCHEN” TEA
A very enjoyable “kitchen” tea foi Miss Norma Creagh was given on Saturday by Miss Ruth Griffin at Priestley road, .Napier,, a number of Miss Creagh's girl friends being in vited to come and bring with them some Utile article or labour-saving device for the new kitchen. Before tea the gifts were opened, and a uselul and quite varied pile of homely accessories were displayed. A sturdy kettle, mmcei, pudding steamer, basins of various sizes, a soap shaker, mop. stainless knife; eup and saucer, and peg-apron well stocked with pegs « e among the presents, and Miss c.eagli thanked all for then thought ol her.
Two competitions—one before and after the delicious tea—kept everyone happily employed, anu the pretty prizes for the winners were given to Miss Norma Creagh, Miss Amy Roach, of Havelock. Artistically arranged sweetpeas in bowls made the living room look verv charming. Mrs Griffin was wearing a frock of sapphire blue crepe-dc-chine, and ner daughter, Ruth, was in navy blue taffetas made Victorian fashion, with a tight bodice and long sleeves, ami finished with lace cuffs and collar.
Miss Norma Creagh was wearing a very dainty frock of “ceil" blue georgette, attractively combined with lace.
