A Band’s Claim—The National Bank at Christchurch yesterday obtained judgment in the Supreme Court fur £2234 against Mary Anu Garnoek Perrin and her husband, Stephen Perrin, company manager. The claim was made under a joint and several guarantee by Mr and Mrs Perrjn for advances by the bank to Co-operative Tree-planting. The society is now in liquidation. The guarantee was up to £2OOO, and the balance of the claim was made up of interest. Perrin, who appeared in his own behalf, had no defence to the action, but he made a complaint to the court that a certain trust deed of mortgage bad not been registered, and that the bank should have compelled the registration. It was pointed out to him. however that the hank had less power than he had to enforce registration.
