CHURCH NOTES.
The usual services will be held in St Matthew’s Church on Sunday. Nurse Bargrove, who has had many years’ experience in Hangchow Hospital. North China, will address the children at Sunday school, and in the afternoon at 3.30 will speak to a meeting of adults in the Parish Hall. The Rev. D. J. Shaw will conduct both services in St, Andrews’s Presbyterian Church. The Communion service will be held in the morning and repeated at the close of the evening service. Evening address, “Engaged in Big Business,” anthem, “Abide With Me’’ (Thomson). All those who should attend are cordially invited.
To-morrow’s services at the Hastings Baptist Church will bo conducted by the Rev T. Keith Ewen. His morning sermon topic will be “The Divine Challenge,” Communion service to follow, and in the evening “The Christian Conqueror.” Miss Sowersby will render a solo Strangers are heartily welcome.
A special children’s service will be held to-morrow at 2.30 in the Nelson Street Hall. At a Juvenile Court, in America a record was kept. and it was found that a verv small percentage of the youthful criminals had ever attended Sunday school. This reveals the value to the whole community of Christian teaching to the young.,
The subject of the address to be given in the Orange Hall, Hastings, on Sunday night is, “Armageddon: The Battle of That Great Day of God Almighty.”
Services at the Hastings Methodist Church to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. F. Cop The Sacrament of thy Lord's Supper will be observed at the close of the morning service. The evening topic will be “Life's Twofold Responsibility.” Visitors are invited and will be welcomed.
