LATE CABLES IN BRIEF. Abolition of Visas: The official announcement that agreement has been reached with Germany for the mutual abolition of visas is expected within the next few days. Cable Stocks; The Eastern and Associated Telegraph Companies announce. in reply to many inquiries regarding fluctuations in market quotations for cable stocks, that the position in relation to radio and cable services is under consideration between the Government and the Eastern companies. Aviator's Progress: Mr John Carbery, en route to the Cape by aeroplane, has arrived at Tripoli. Sir Hugh Denison Retires: The Hon. 8. M. Bruce announced that Sir Hugh Denison, Commissioner for Australia in the United States, has resigned. The reason is believed to be because the office is inadequately recognised in America. More U.S. Cruisers: The U.S.A. Administration plans to make recommendations approaching Congress for the further construction of cruisers, according to an announcement from Whitehouse to-day.
