Messrs. W. Burbidge and Co. report a good demand for fancy apples and pears, particularly Delicious, cherries, green peas, red tomatoes and eating plums. Eggs easier. Walnuts wanted. 'There is a better demand for tomatoes to-day and we expect a keen demand next week. Current prices':— Apples- Sturmers 10/- to 15/-, Delicious 12/6 to 16/6. Cherries, 1/- lb. French beans. I'l to 1/3 lb; Nelson green peas, 16/6 26/- bag. Cherry plums, 4/6 to 5/6 s'6 tn 6'6. Peaches, 10'6 to 13/6, all half cases Tomatoes, coloured 8d to lOd, red lOd to 1/1. green 71d to 8d lb. New laid eggs, 1/10. New potatoes, 9/6 sugar hag. Strawberries, Nelson 6d to 11<1 punnet. Walnuts, IOJd to lid lb.
