Nelson and Hutt grown tomatoes are now increasing in quantity with only a fair demand maintaining on account of the recent heavy Rarotongan shipment. Green peas and new potatoes show an improved demand with advanced values ruling. Recent values are as follows: Pears; Winter Cole choice 15 /- to 16/-. others 11/- to 14/- Winter Nelis choice 12/- to 13/-, others 9/- to 11/-. Lemons: N.Z. grown choice IS/- to 17/-, others 10/- to 12/-.
