Ltd., Townsend and Paul, and 1). Bowie and Co. report as follows: — A good enquiry exists for choice lines of all dew season’s fruit while apples and pears continue hi good demand with fancy grade lines having the best enquiry. Nelson and Hutt grown tomatoes are now increasing in quantity with only a fair demand maintaining on account of the recent heavy Rarotongan shipment. Green peas and new potatoes show an improved demand with advanced values ruling. Recent values are as follows: Pears; Winter Cole choice 15 /- to 16/-. others 11/- to 14/- Winter Nelis choice 12/- to 13/-, others 9/- to 11/-. Lemons: N.Z. grown choice IS/- to 17/-, others 10/- to 12/-. Apples: Delicious fancy 14/- to 15/-. others 10/- to 12/-: Stunners fancy 12/- to 14/-, others 9/- to 10/-; Doughertys fancy 9/- to 10/-, others 7/6 to 8/-. cooking fancy 9/- to 10/-, others 7/- to 8/-; all at per bushel. Cherries: Choice dessert 10/. to 12/-, others 7/- to 8/- per 10-11 box. Gooseberries: Choice largo 5/6 to 6/6, others 4/- to 5/- half case.
