Committed For Sentence: Bichard Thomas Douglas Cook, aged 22, pleaded guilty in the Auckland Police Court to the forgery of a credit note on the Bank of New South Wales foi £‘5449. with the intention that it bo acted upon as genuine, also the forging of a promissory note for £4O. Evidence was given by an hotel broker that the accused introduced himself as a publican from Sydney, saying he wanted to buy an hotel. He paid a deposit of £5 o» an Auckland hotel. The accused was com mitted to the Supieme Court for sentence.
