EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. MONTHLY MEETING, . The monthly meeting of the executive committee of the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society was held in Napier to-day, Mr R. H. Todd presiding over a good attendance of members. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs B. Chambers. W H. Campbell, C. H. Thompson J. H. Coleman R. J. Bell and w’. McNivcn. Tho District Tiafflce Manager Zealand Railways wrote stating that the Department would appreciate permission from A and P. Societies to erect black boards on or about buildings on- show grounds for tho purpose of supplying information to patrons of agricultural shows who may desire tn util'to the railway services. The writer was desirous of knowing whether the provision of information m this way met with the society's approval.—Referred to the ground committee to report. It was deeideil to forward a letter of thanks to Mr W. Rayner, of Masterton. who returned to tho society a cheque for £4 for ttevnlling expenses. Tlu’N.Z Ayslii re Cattle Brcedrs’ Association advised that at certain shows some breeders were showing animals over 12 months’ old which were not in tho Herd Book nn 1 it was decided that none of the Assneirtion’s prize money donated to shows would bo provided vhero A. rtml T. Associations allowed this pm-tiie to continue.—Referred to Revisions Committee. The Dannevirke District A and P. Society wrote in regard to the Howard Estate Amendment Act dealing with the setting up of a repivsentutive advisory hoard consisting of five members, stating that at "its recent meeting it was agreed that Mr. E, Averill should be nominated to represent the A. and P. Society in the Hawke’s Hay district and it w: s hoped that the nomination wool I meet with the approval of th# Hawke's Bay Society. The letter pointed out that Mr.. Averill had taken an active interest in the setting up of the Advisory Board.—lt wn s unanimously agreed to support Mr. Averill’s nomination.
