Hooker, the acting-postmaster, in asking Mr. Faulkner to accept a handsome afternoon tea service as a mark of the esteem ip which he is held-by his comrades, wished both himself and his bride-to-be good health, suviess and prosperity in their new sphere. Mr. Faulkner replied briefly, thanking Mr. Hooker and his fellow-workers.

Yesterday was Old Boys’ day at Wellington College. Air T. R. Cresswell, headmaster, who is retiring at the end of the year, was farewelled by the old boys and presented with a walking stick and cigarette case. The pupils of the college presented him und Mrs Creswell with a silver tray. Mr A. C. Gifford, who is retiring from tho staff after 12 years, was presented with a silver ten set. anil a presentation was also made by the pupils to Mr F. M. Ronner who is taking over the headmastership of lhe liongotia Boys’ College. He has been on tho Wellington College staff for 27 years.
