COSY DE LUXE. Fox Films’ fine comedy-drama, “Upstream,” which has been playing to pleased audiences will have a final showing to-night. This latest opus o' John Ford, maker of the “Iron Horse” and “Three Bad Men,” shows the great director in a lighter mood, but, like his epic films, “Upstream” is, splendid entertainment. Nancy Nash, Earle Roxe, Raymond Hitchcock, Grant Withers. Ted McNamara and Sammy Cohen have leading parts in this very fine picture. In the,other picture, “Casey at the Bat,” IVallace Beerey appears as a champion baseball player. Humour abounds, in keeping with Beerey’s re cent successes, and the action throughout is fast and furious. Zasu Pitt and Ford Sterling are een in support. MUNICIPAL. Lois Weber, the screen's onlv successful woman director, started her stage career as a leading woman and her motion picture career as a director. There were no hard knocks for this woman, who has turned out the successful “The Sensation Seekers” which is drawing capacity crowds tn the Municipal Theatre. 'This is a thoroughly modern picture telling of a jazz-mad society girl, whose hotheadedness sets her into a dangerous situation, How she is saved from herself by a sporting minister makes a thrilling film Billie Dove and Huntley Gordon are starred.
