THE CAROLINE'S CARGO. London Nov. 27. Fifteen thousand dry boxes of tin Port Caroline’s damaged butter were sold to blenders. The underwriters ruled out an offer for th© bulk purchase of the remaining wet portion, with an undertaking that it would be used up in blending so that thy New Zealand origin would not be revealed.—(A. and N.Z.) MARKET REPORT. An exceptionally large entry of poultry and pigs came to hand at Messrs. Gill Brps.’ sale on Saturday last with a fair yarding of dairy stock. The following are some of the prices realised:—White Leghorn hens 3/3 to 4/4, heavy hens 3/9 to 4/9. ducks 4/2. 8.0. young cockerels 2/11 to 3/6, W.L. cockerels 4d to 1/6, dav old chicks lOd to 1/3, dav old ducklings 1 6, Blk. Orp. pullets 6/9, all at per each. Pigs: Weaners 15/- to £l, slips £1 2/6 to £- 15/-. porkers £1 10/- to £2 5/-, stores £1 15/- to £1 19'6. Dairy stock: One Jersey cow. £8 10/-. 1 at £1 10'-. 1 at £B. 1 at £lO. A very big lot of useful sundries brought satisfactory prices to vendors.
