Mr L. F. de Berry. M.A.. the headmaster of Central School. Palmerston North, has been appointed to the post of headmaster of the Dunedin Normal School one of the two teachers’ training centres of the South Island. The sacred concert to be given in the Baptist Church on Wednesday evening is one that will be sure to attract universal interest. The soloists will be Miss Steele, L.A.8., Mrs. F. E. Barley, Mrs. J. W, Berridge, Mr. L. Compton, Mr. J. W. Berridge and Mr. J. Bewley. Mesdames Compton and Berridge will sing a duet, and Mr. I). Christie will play a violin solo. In addition to the above, the choir will sing two anthems and then will follow the cantata entitled “The New Jerusalem.”
