MANCHURIAN RAILWAYS
MORGAN CO.’s LOAN. (Received 26, 8.5 a.m.) Tokio, Nov. 25. Washington cables report the Government’s endorsement of the J. P. Morgan Co.’s South Manchurian loan negotiations. The loan is of £30,030,000 at 6 per cetn., and the money will be used in extending branch railways and developing mining in Manchuria. The “Japan Advertiser,” representing American interests, intimates that Washington is now prepared to approve, notwithstanding China’s protests against political loans to interests at present actively absorbing one of China’s richest territories.— (A. and N.Z.)
