WARATAHS & WELSHMEN. SECOND TEST TO-DAY. Two weeks ago the Waratahs now visiting the Home country, performed with distinction by defeating Ireland 5—3 at Dublin, in the first International match of the tour. As joint holders of the International championship with Scotland, the Irish were one of the most dangerous sides of the year. Tile New South Wales team, however, rose to the occasion in the first great match of the campaign. However, they are not yet out of the wood. To-day they meet the elite of the land of the leeks. The Welshmen, though not very successful against the British Isles, have always been hard nuts to crack when up again touring Colonial teams. • » » For the past week the Waratahs have had, a rest after travelling from one coast of England to the other then back again to the famous arena at Cardiff, where they are to play their second test of the tour. • • • Wales may be Justly proud of its record against visiting teams and to-day, no doubt, they will be out fo< further laurels. On Hie other hand the Waratahs have te avenge for the defeat of the Australian Wallabies. Below is the record of the international games played by Wales against touring combinations:—

Seven teams have been played and the result has been three victories tn the “Taffies’ ’and four to the visitors. The aggregate points are—For: 20, against, 45. So far in the tour the Waratahs have played 18 games. One has been drawn, and one lost, the remainder being victories, some of them being fairly substantial and good scoring ones at that.
