BATHING BELLE

WHO COULDN'T SWIM. NEARLY DROWNED WHEN FILMING. Pasadena (Cal,), October 22. A Mack Sennett bathing beauty, Dahpne Pollard, accidentally revealed the fact that the designation has little connection with swimming ability. While playing a part in the filming of a comedy, she nearly drowned in Brookside Park. The bathing beauty’s part was to walk into shallow water fully clothed. She accidentally stepped off a ledge into deep water. Two other girls of the company. Lorette Rush and Marjorie Williamson, pulled Miss Pollard out as she was gome down the second time. Artificial respiration Was employed for ten minutes before the bathing beauty regained consciousness.
