SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Clive Grange School Committee was held last evening. Present: Messrs. E. J. -Calnan (chairman), A. E. Estauge, E. I. Somerville, G. Bridgman and the headmaster (Mr. B. H. Florence). The headmaster reported that the roll number was 74, and the average attendance 67. The inspector’s report and the agricultural instructor’s report were read. The committee congratulated the teachers on the very good reports. It was decided to have the dux board placed in the school. * J The school concert and picnic were discussed, and it was resolved to have the former on the 16th December, ■ and the latter on the day the school breaks up. A general meeting to further discuss the picnic will be held in the supper-room at the hall on the Saturday night after the concert. It was decided to canvas the district for funds for the picnic. The question of school prizes was discussed, and it was decided to give a dux medal and merit prizes. It was left in the hands of Mr. Bridgman to ask Mr. J. Harrison for the use of his paddock for the
picnic. *■ The headmaster thanked the committee for their eonrtesy and ready help in making the school wellequipped, and wished them the compliment* of the season. These sentijrfvnts were reciprocated by tne committee.
