DEADLOCK FEARED

IN BRADFORD WOOL TRADE. London, Nov. 23. Apprehension prevails at Bradford of a wool trade deadlock over a wages dispute. Employers and employees accepted permanent joint committees to deal with conditions in the industry, but the employers stipulated for the acceptance beforehand of a teduction in wages. The trade unions rejected this and suggested arbitration. which the employers refused to touch. It is reported that many employers disapprove the rejection of arbitration. The nresent wage agreements expire at the end of the week. —(A. and N.Z.)
