ITALY’S IRON HAND
MUSSOLINI DETERMINED. TO CRUSH OPPOSITION. (Received 24, 8.45 a.m.) London, Nov. 23. The “Daily News’ ” Paris correspondent says that Signor Mussolini, menaced by a wave of discontent, is conducting a ruthless campaign to crush all opposition. He is ironhandedly suppressing strikes and protest meetings due to the lowering of wages and 2,000 suspected antiFascists have heen arrested in the past month.—(Sydney “Sun” cable).
