PREPARATIONS FOE NEXT MEETING. A KEEN COMMITTEE. Tho usual mooting of the Herctaunga Sports Club was held last even ing. There was a good attendance of members. The final arrangements for the print■ig of the programmes for the sports meeting to be held on Nelson Park <>n January 7th were dealt with. The prize-money and cups total £2OO, and several cups and medals have also been donated. Arrangements are being made to have Phil O’Shea, the champion N.Z. cyclist compete, also Don MacLennan tho champion N.Z. sprinter. In tho chopping and sawing events inquiries are coming in from all over tho North Island. The programme is expected to best ever put before the public of Hastings, and the committee are leaving no ston 0 noturned to mako tho meeting a huge success.
