WEEK-END EXCURSION

SUCCESS ASSURED. The success of the week-end excursion to Wellington next Saturday is assured. The opportunity of viewing tlie Empire Citv and entering into its life for a week-end has appealed to everyone. The chance of spending the week-end among old friends and possibly making many new ones has been the means of inducing a large number to arrange for the trip, both from Wanganui and Hawke’s Bay. Among the younger members of the community the attractions of city life, the opportunity of seeing the provincial athletic champions in action has appealed to their active nature, and a number of the younger generation will, therefore, be making the journey for the first time. Naturally the great incentive to join the excursion is the outstanding cheap fare. This is only half the amount ordinarily charged for the return journey from Napier to Wellington. In these circumstances it is but natural that a large number would avail themselves of the cheapest travel over a long distance ever offered bv the Railway Department.
