TEAPOT DOME CASE
ALLEGED JURY TAMPERING. COURT CONTEMPT CITATIONS. (Received 23, 9.45 a.m.) Washington, Nov. 22. Mr Justice bidden has issued contempt citations against six persons allegedly involved in the charges of tampering with the oil trial jury, on the motion of Government eounseL Those cited ore Sinclair, two of iiis lieutenants tamed Clark and Day, William Burns and his eon Sherman, and Charles Veitch, the head of Burns’ Baltimore agency. All of whom must appear on December 5 to show cause why they should uot be cited for contempt of court.
Conviction carries a maximum sentence of one year’s imprisonment ami 100 dollars fine.
