Ashhurst, November 23 The Annual Meeting of the Ashhurst Racing Club is being held today in fine weather. The course is good and the attendance very satisfactory. Results:— Hurdles.—2 Vexatious 1. 4 Kilburn 2. 8 Chrissarto 3. Scratched: Lombardo. Panchito. Wembley. Won bv a length; two lengths between second and third. Time. 3.52 4-5. Maiden Handicap.—l Toni Byrne 1,2 Sliming Star 2, 16 Aurora Borealis 3. Won by half a length, two lengths between second and third. Scr; Lady Kaveii, Miss Boniform, Broad Acre, Abisogne, Hodren, Lechamp. Tune, 1.5 Pohangina Handicap. —1 Bonogue 1, 3 Arrow Lad 2,2 Mireusonta 3. Scratched: Lausanne, Epistle, Deluge, Starboard Light, and Lady Cynthia. Won by a neck, a head between second and third. Time, 1.17 2-5. OTAHUHU TROTS. Auckland, November 23. The Otathuhu Trotting Club’s Spring Meeting is concluding in fine weather, before a fair attendance. The track is in splendid order. Results :— Innovation Handicap.—2 Great Change (Corrigan) 1, 10 Billy Carbine 2, 1 . Brighgt Light 3. all started. Won by half a length; same between second and third. Time, 4.44 4-5. Epsom Handicap.—6 Ed Star (mexted) 1, 1 Dillon Huon 2, 3 Betty S 3. Scratched: Peter Grattan. Won by a head, H lengths between second arid third. Time. 3.28. Papatoetoe Handicap—7 Petroleuse (Corrigan) 1, 6 Anseline 2, 8 Gold Dial 3. All started. Won by threequarters of a length. Time, 4.41 4-5.
