Captown, Nov. 21. At Kimberley, Marylebone, in the first innings, made 366 for wickets and declared. Griqualand WesJ;, in the first innings made 116 (Francois 52: Staples took 5 for 25 and Geary 3 for 14). Griqualand . followed on. losing seven for 161 (N. Tapscott 65 not out). Stumps were then drawn. — (A. and N.Z.) H.B. ASSOCIATION MEETS. The H.B. Cricket Association held its fortnightly meeting last night, present, Messrs. B. Tweedie (chairman), C. Louisson, R. V. Worker, C. McGhee. C. Elmes, W. J. O'Cbnnell, J. R. Stevenson, C. Temperton, A. Signail, L. Fifield. The Borough Cotncil wrote granting thq Association the use of the ladies’ pavilion on Nelson Park on Saturdays only while their own is being altered. It was decided to transfer the No. 3 wicket junior match to No. 6 next Saturday, in view of the match against the Wairoa representatives. Saturday afternoon was decided upon as the occasion on which a presentation will be made to Mr. T. C Lowry, providing that date be suitable for Mr. Lowry. H. S. Stephenson, who applied for a transfer from H. 5.0.8. Club to Technical Old Boys was refused permission, Messrs. C. Elmes and C. McGhee alone voting in favour of it. It was decided to grant the clubs the use of a net owned by the association for use as a back net at practices.
