PRINCESS VICTORIA’S MARRIAGE,
HER BROTHER’S GIFT.
Berlin, Nov. 21. Advices from Bonn state that the ex-Kaiser abandoned his attitude of indifference toward his sister’s wedding only to make a gesture of contempt on the occasion of the religious ceremony to-day. When the bride, the bridegroom and the guests were assembled at Schaumberg Castle, a messenger brought a parcel from Doorn. It contained a book entitled “Revolution from Above, Disaster from Below,’-' being a history of the German Empire from 1914 to 1918. Throughout the ceremony the Princess stood in a flood of merciless lights from spotlights trained for the purpose of the cinematograph. She looked no older than 35. She wore a lace veil which once belonged to the Empress Frederick. Zoubkoff was in immaculate morning dress, and chatted with the guests in English. French, German and Russian.-(A. and N.Z.)
