'PHONE PRIVACY
AUTOMATIC BUREAU SYSTEM A DUNEDIN RESOLUTION. The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce has forwarded the following resolution for the Hastings Chamber’s support:— “Iliac this chamber draws the attention of the Department to the fact that the present bureau system of automatic 'phones installed by them provides no method of holding private conversation where numerous 'phones are installed in the larger offices. In the opinion of this chamber, some contrivance to secure privacy should be provided by the Department at a reasonable cost, and we respectfully urge that the Department give this matter its early attention.”
The secretary said he considered it was a matter of providing separate cubicles.
The resolution is to be supported
