Mr H. V. Bell, of the Auckland staff of the New Zealand Shipping Company, has been promoted; to manager of the combined offices of the combined offices of the New Zealand and the Union Companies in Gisborne. Mr H. Holdbrness, of Gisborne, has been transferred to Christchurch as manager of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s offices there.
The police- business at the Hastings Magistrate's sitting of the Court to-morrow is composed of the four licensing cases adjourned from last Court day, one charge of having no driver’s license, one of dangerous driving, one of having an unguarded circular saw, and two maintenance cases. The civil hst consist of 50 cases, including 17 judgment summonses an.d three defended actions.
