Hailwood (Inldependent) .. 917 —(A.P.A. and “Sun” cable.) The by-election was occasioned through the decease of Lord Iveagh and the subsequent elevation of his son to the House of Lords. The voting in the general election was:— Viscount Elvedeu (Con.) .... 23,417 J. D. Young (Liberal) 10.924 S. A. Moseley (Labour) 314.4
