XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, having received thu precedent consent of the Local Government ■ Loans Board thereto, the Hastings Borough Council hereby resolves to submit the following proposal to a vote of the ratepayers:— A Proposal.tc Borrow by way of Special Loan within the meaning of 1 “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” and under the authority of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920.” and the amendments thereof, the sum of £lO,lOO to be expended for the following purposes: — WATERWORKS EXTENSION: Including Reservoir and Purchase of Land therefor; the Purchase of Machinery in connection therewith; and sinking additional Artesian Wells £9,925 ost of raising the Loan and Contingencies £175 £lO,lOO The Council proposes to pledge a Special Rate of Thirteen One-hun-dredths (13/100ths) of a Penny in the £ on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, on all rateable property in the Borough as security for the said Loan and the interest thereon, and for a sinking fund of one (1) per centum per annum; the interest on the said Loan to bo at a rate not exceeding six (6) per centum per annum. It is proposed that the whole of the Loan i shall be repayable at the expiration of a period not exceeding thirty-six and a-half (36J) years computed from the date of raising the Loan. It is proposed to nay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan. It is not proposed to pay out of the Loan, the interest or ‘-he sinking fund for the first year. , PERCY R.
