GOLF
(By "Putter”) NOTES FROM EVERYWHERE. WHAT EXPERTS SAY. The Parkvale Golf Club have made a wise move bv deciding to carry out the much-needed improvements on their course. The plan submitted by Mr A, J. Shaw, the professional of the Napier Golf Club, is a good one, and when completed under' Mr Shaw's personal supervision, this should be one of the best nine-hole courses in the Dominion. This must be very gratifying to the committee and members of the club, as the work can he carried out at a very small cost. The future looks very bright for this energetic little club, and the committee are to be congratulated on the manner in which they have set about their work. * » * I desire to thank the secretary of the club. Mr H. A. B. Ribbands, for his most courteous and never-failing ability to supply any information in connection with and for the welfare of the club and players in general; also various members of the club for any information supplied during the season.
